Dance Classes
LUNCHTIME ZUMBA
When:- Tuesday 12.10-12.40pm
Cost:- £3 per class
Highly qualified Ffion Williams leads the class through a quick lunck time Zumba session, guaranteed to make all lunch breaks fun and leave you feeling re-energised.
5-7YRS INTRODUCTION TO STREET DANCE
When: - Tuesday 5.30 – 6.30pm
Price: - £5.00 an hour or £20.00 per five week term.

This class has been set up on request for our younger students to develop their movement and choreography skills.
The idea behind this session is for learners to gain an overview of dance as a whole, and with this, we will cover a variety of music and movement styles alike.
We will also focus on beats, timing, rhythms and musicality, travelling sequences, jumps turns, levels and shapes.
8-11YRS STREET DANCE
When: - Tuesday 6.30 – 7.30pm
Price: - £5.00 an hour or £20.00 per five week term.

Both these classes a based on chart/hip-hop music and funky choreography.
Students concentrate on physical technique, flexibility, deep stretches, and pirouettes.
Jason teaches a variety of choreography to the students, who are expected to repeat the material until they have mastered it.
On some occasions, tasks will be set in which dancers are spilt into groups and are expected to come up with their own material, once the students have rehearsed, they are often asked to perform their group work to peers and the tutors.
Physical games are often included in the sessions, to build confidence in all our younger dancers and will often help to break the ice, as it is vital for all dancers to feel comfortable in their surroundings!
12-18YRS STREET DANCE
When: - Tuesday 7.30-8.30pm
Price: - £5.00 an hour or £20.00 per five week term.

16+ CONTEMPORARY DANCE
When: - Tuesday 8.30 – 9.30pm

This session is a mix of quirky contemporary and some elements of commercial dance.
It is an excellent workout for any dancers over the age of 12.
Students will focus on travelling sequences, leaps, developing physical technique and confidence building.
An open mind is vital for this particular session but the main focus behind ‘contemporary dance’ is correct alignment, breathing and expression, as well as strength and flexibility. The choreography is often fairly fast and sharp, and you are guaranteed to gain a great sense of achievement by the end of each session
ADULT STREET DANCE
When:- Wednesday 8.30-9.30pm
Cost £4 per class
Ffion Williams takes the class through basic street dance transitions to the more advanced street routines with this funky body popping class.
BOLLYWOOD BURNOUT
When:- Thurdsay 6 – 7pm
Cost:- £4 per class
Bringing Bollywood to Bangor, this international dance style has become extremely popular, and is famous for it’s fun and upbeat rhythm. Gaz is an experienced instructor and offers much variety within her classes, including working with props.
