Aerial Hoop

Aerial Hoop (otherwise known as Lyra) consists of performing acrobatics in a large steel hoop suspended from the ceiling.

During your hoop class you will perform a warm up, conditioning exercises, learn poses and acrobatics and finish with a cool down/stretch.

We run 3 types of hoop tuition: a 4 week routine based course consisting of many tricks, mounts, and transitions within a routine, private lessons for those uncomfortable with class situations and a Hoop Tricks class solely for those wanting to learn tricks with no transitional work included, this  class is not suitable for complete beginners. Please see booking information below.

Aerial hoop is unlike pole, in that you need to cover the skin to avoid burns.  You may also wish to wear multiple layers to avoid bruising.  We would normally recommend leggings and a close fitting top.

The benefits to learning Lyra are many. According to research conducted by AerialBliss while increasing your metabolic rate you could burn up to 520 calories in an hourly class. Lyra is also brilliant for building strength and improving posture. Many Lyra moves involve balance, therefore you will be engaging all those core muscles that have probably been dormant for some time! There are also many moves that involve flexibility on a Lyra and these will also be worked on. You will find with regular practice  your flexibility will improve and these moves will become easier.

Please note upon booking you will receive an email from us with some health forms attached. These must be completed and returned to us prior to your first class.

Love it! Soooo much fun and Tracy’s a brilliant teacher

Leg spreading goodness for ALL pole levels! We will cover various split poses at the base and on the pole.

You do not have to be flexible to take part in this workshop as all poses can be achieved with a fake split, remember it’s all about those angles!

Pole shorts required. Bring a drink for hydration!

It’s the final countdown – and time to choose your own adventure: Beast or Bliss?

Roll, drop and beat in this super fun workshop.

Trapeze workshop focusing on different entries to spins, controlling the speeds and flow. Open to anyone

This not a taught class, but rather a chance for you to come and play or experiment on various apparatus. Tracy will be present throughout the session, but think of this as a hire with the fun toys out to play!

Our flying pole will be the centre of attention in this spin style workshop (don’t panic, she can spin slowly!).

Learn to spin faster than Mary Poppins herself, you’ll be able to climb, fly and be a true badass during this workshop

A workshop that is guaranteed to kill those nerve endings! Dr. No and Mr. Big are sure to be impressed  as you wrap, spin and drop on the aerial chains!

Please ensure you bring plenty of layers for this workshop, lots of socks and leggings/joggings a necessity if you don’t want to finish black and blue! As always bring a drink for hydration ;)

Did someone order a Martini? In this Tippy Hoop workshop we’ll cover mounts, manoeuvres and rotations on the most unusual of aerial apparatus, where there is no stability but much fun to be had!

Wear skin covering items like leggings and T-shirt, bring drink for hydration!

Trapeze workshop focuses on using the ropes to do combinations of static wraps and dynamic rolls. Any level is welcome to this class, but the ability to invert (even on pole or hoop) is necessary.

Stretch class returns on the request of M!

This class will work on achieving those elusive splits, strengthening and stretching hip flexors, quads, hamstrings and more!

Wear comfy clothing and bring a drink for hydration. If you wish to bring your own yoga mat that is fine, but we do have plenty in house for all to use :)
